Village Fun Day Raised £300 for Warwickshire Air Ambulance

The village fun day organised by the Lapworth Cricket Club and many others was a resounding success. £300 was raised for the Warwickshire Air Ambulance and everyone had a great time doing it. The weather, showers having caused some concern in the morning, was kind to the event and the afternoon was sunny and warm.
Parish Plan Steering Group Unfortunately it hasn't been possible to gather enough people to form a credible parish plan steering group. It is a dissapointment as a parish plan would have been beneficial for the community of Lapworth. It is hoped that it will be possible to make another more successful attempt at starting a parish plan before too long.

The Parish Plan Steering Group met on Monday 29th of June to start compiling a list of organisations an businesses in the village that should be consulted about the style and content of the questionnaire which would be used as the basis for a parish plan. There were releatively few of us so only a limited amount of prgress could be made.
It was though by those present that it would be wise to call a recess until the holiday season is over as we are now in the period where many people go away for their holidays.
The intention is to try to strengthen the group by recruiting more members during the summer and to continue with the next meeting in September.
