The 5 mile Knowle Fun Run with 2 laps on traffic free roads and its 2 Mini Runs for the under 9’s is one of the Midlands biggest community fundraising events. This year’s Run on Sunday 16th May will raise funds for the Parkinson’s Disease Society, Teenage Cancer Trust and fly2help as well as local causes and the Lions hope that individuals as well as companies will commit early to raising lots of funds for these worthy causes.

‘We find that runners from all over the West Midlands are keen to reserve their place in what we hope will be another terrific record breaking community even,’ says organising Lion John Heard. ‘We hope that your readers needing to burn off some of those calories put on over the festive season will get their friends and relatives to join them and pull on their running shoes to start training now’.

The Lions are seeking able bodied marshals for the Knowle Fun Run.
In order to create a safe environment for our 2,000 runners Knowle and Dorridge Lions need the help of over 80 marshals along the route. All they need is for you to commit to attend the briefing at the Greswolde Hotel on the evening of Wednesday 12th May and for a couple of hours or so on Sunday 16th May.
