Lapworth Parish Magazine, a thriving monthly, typically of 52 pages and with a 600 circulation, is much more than a church magazine.
It covers two parishes which are held in plurality, Lapworth and the very much smaller Baddesley Clinton, which takes about 100 copies. This means that in Lapworth the Magazine sells about 500 copies in a population of about 2000.
It consciously sets out to reflect all village activities and has regular columns from most village organisations and a three-month diary of events covering both the parishes.
Outside matters ecclesiastical, it has regular reports from Lapworth School, Lapworth Parish Council, the Lapworth Players, Kingswood and Lapworth WI, Warwick West Safer Neighbourhood Team, Lapworth Local History Group, and the Royal British Legion.
Apart from the normal church activities - services, prayer, baptism, weddings and funerals, It covers also the activities of the evangelical Lees Chapel, the nearest Methodist church and the Roman Catholic church of St Francis of Assisi at Baddesley Clinton.
There are also occasional articles covering local events and there is two-page diary of forthcoming events. Wherever appropriate photographs are used.
Contributions from parishioners on local topics are welcome; an occasional feature Lapworth Viewpoint offers a platform for discussion, and Personal Column a vehicle for thank you or other small notices
