The Scarecrow Festival theme this year is "Heroes and Villains". The festival takes place on the 18th and 19th of Sept. Full details are on the Scarecrow Festival Website.
This Website has been going for more than 12 years. The editor found a copy of it from the year 2001. You might be interested to take a look to see how much has changed and what is the same.
The Weather
The Cricket Club Funday was a super day out and well attended. Aston Villa Old Stars did a great job in supporting this event again, and many thanks to Richard Evans and the committee for organising the event. You can read the full report here.
Over 50? Want to play Badminton?
Sessions are played at King George VI Memorial Hall, Hockley Heath on
Tuesdays 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm and at St Peters Church Hall, Balsall Common
on Wednesdays 11:15 am - 12:45pm. Open to all levels from beginners to
regular players, and it costs £1.50 including refreshments.

Bus Timetables When is the next bus? Where does it go? Now you can find out on the Web. Warwick District Council have a web page of all bus services in the area, and you can search it for Lapworth bus services.
Local Crime Mapping The Police now publish crime maps showing the crime figures for most areas. Here is a link to the Lapworth crime figures. The number of crimes appears to have increased considerably, although the numbers are fairly small (in a statistical sense), should be treated with caution. It is hoped that this is not a continuing trend.
